Mason's Plate c.1813-20

A stunningly vivid dynamic pattern known as "Pink Rose on Stem with Rock" produced by Mason's.

Hand painted on their Ironstone body, which is a high fired fine earthenware. 

This body was introduced as it was cheaper to produce than porcelain, yet much stronger and more durable than other forms of earthenware such as pearlware or creamware.  

Bold and colourful, this is an excellent example of Regency style and a classic period piece.

In excellent condition with minor gilt losses at the edge, it displays very well.
